OBSERVATION STAGE

 In order to get acquainted with the educational context and the group assigned to deliver the practicum, necessary data was collected by the trainee through observations and interviews. The information gathered was captured in the following Institutional Report

PRACTICUM STAGE

Once the context was analized by the trainee a course of action was designed to develop the practicum. Here are the Lesson Plans:

Having delivered all the lessons, the time has come to reflect about the process. The following document accounts the learning obtained, the rights and wrongs, the results, and the overall significance of the period.

Teacher´s role

         I hope that every time I will enter a classroom this quote comes to my mind!          A succesful teacher aims at the integral development of learners which, of course, will then affect the whole environment; after all learning is social (L. Vigotsky).          Teachers should promote learning which is meaningful to all individuals; they have to create contexts which favour not only acquisition of contents, but also the development of values, collaboration, and skills. All of which could only be attained by motivating students to take an active role in their learning.

Welcome to my blog!

            My name is Patricia Barrionuevo. I live in a small coal-mining village called Río Turbio, situated in the south-west end of Santa Cruz province. I am an e- ttendant at the Teacher Training in Instituto Lenguas Vivas Bariloche . At present, I am about to conclude the course of studies which requires performing Teaching Practice at three educational levels: KINDERGARTEN, PRIMARY SCHOOL and SECONDARY SCHOOL .   This blog is my Digital Portfolio . It includes reports on my Practicum experience and it also serves as an instance of reflective learning during the process.   The present portfolio has been organized into sections which include personal information, professional development, and views related to teaching and learning; as well as accounts on the proceedings of the practice periods conducted on each of the educational levels.
